As has become something of a tradition for my family, we headed across to the island of Hailuoto to mark Midsummer. While it was the sunniest day we’ve had for a little while, it wasn’t the warmest weather we’ve ever known.
We did brave the sea, the girls and I, for a swim but the chilly water and stiff breeze meant we didn’t last long.
We retreated to out little tent up on the beach for a picnic and some sandcastle building before whiling away the hours on the sands with all kinds of fun.
Given the rain currently lashing down outside, I’m definitely glad we didn’t wait until today to make the trip!
Hope you all had a lovely Midsummer whatever you were doing!
We are planning to visit to Hailuoto next week! 🙂
Regards from Oulu. Matti
Will hope you have good weather for your visit! 🙂
